2002 Winter Olympics: Men's Hockey Gold For Canada

For the first time in fifty years the Canadian Men's Olympic hockey team wins the Gold medal. On February 24, 2002 (the last day of Olympic competition) in the Salt Lake City big E arena the Canadian team beat the United States 5-2 to win the first gold for Canada in men's hockey since the 1952 Winter Olympics.

The win breaks a 70 year winning streak for the US on Olympic home ice.
