Actress Teri Garr Reveals She Has Multiple Sclerosis

After experiencing symptoms for 19 years and hiding her condition after finally receiving a diagnosis in the early 1990s Teri Gar announced on October 8, 2002 that she has the debilitating condition Multiple Sclerosis. Garr said she walks with a slight limp and has been fitted with a leg brace, and also takes medication, including injections of interferon, to control her symptoms. She is also an ambassador for MS-Lifelines, a program for people with multiple sclerosis that is partly funded by a pharmaceutical company.
