Elvis Aaron Presley, universally known as the "King of Rock 'n' Roll", was found dead in his bathroom by his girlfriend on August 16, 1977. The official cause of death was listed as congestive heart failure, but an autopsy revealed a cocktail of drugs in his system at near toxic levels.

Elvis is remembered every year on August 16th at his home in Memphis, Tennessee, where fans from all over the world travel to Graceland to honour him. Elvis was 42 at the time of his death.
