The First 6-time Tour de France Winner
Lance Armstong made history on July 25, 2004 when he won the Tour de France for the sixth consecutive time; making him the first person in the 101-year history of the race to win six times.
The 32-year old Texan won over Andreas Kloden who was 6 minutes, 19 seconds back in second place. It was Armstong's best race with five solo stage wins and a team time-trial victory with his U.S. Postal Service team.
Eight years ago Armstong was given less than a 50 percent chance of overcoming testicular cancer that spread to his lungs and brain.
