The First US President To Write A Novel
On November 11, 2003 the novel "The Hornet's Nest" by former US President Jimmy Carter was released. The book is a fictional story of the Revolutionary War in the South through the eyes of the farmers, British spies and American Indians. Carter (79) spent seven years writing the book by researching the Revolutionary War heavily and based many of his characters on actual historical figures from the period.
