First Man Over 40 To Score 40 Points In An NBA Game

Four days after his 40th birthday, Michael Jordan scored 43 points for the Washington Wizards on February 21, 2003 in a winning effort against the New Jersey Nets (89-86). Jordan is the first player, over the age of 40, in NBA history to break 40 points in a single game. The point record for an over-40 player was 27, held by Kareem Abdul-Jabbar.
