Actress, Heather O'Rourke Dies At 12 Years Old

The young actress Heather O'Rourke died on February 1st, 1988 at 2:43 P.M. during emergency surgery. Heather had been suffering from flu-like symptoms but doctors failed to identify the intestinal blockage that killed her.

Heather is best known for her roll as Carol Anne Freeling in the Steven Spielberg movie Poltergeist as well as its two sequels. She died during the filming of the third and final movie Poltergeist III: The Final Chapter.
