Largest Terrorist Attack in American History

In the morning of September 11th, 2001 terrorist seized control of two American Airlines commercial flights and two United Airlines flights to launch the worst terrorist attack in American history.

American Airlines flight 11 was flown into the North tower of the World Trade Center in New York, N.Y. and United Airlines flight 175 was flown into the South tower. Both towers subsequently collapsed, killing 2,752 people.

The second American Airlines flight crashed into the Pentagon in Washington, D.C. and the second United Airlines flight (targeting Washington D.C. as well) crashed in a Pennsylvania field when passengers fought back against the terrorists.
